Retailmania In The Sun
The Sun is out again and the temperatures are soaring. There’s another sale on at work which means the shop will be equally as hot.
Despite this, here are some places i’d rather be:
- Tenerife
- Twycross Zoo
- Woburn Abbey
- Bradgate Park
Still, a trip to Lincoln tonight will be enough tonic!
Another Arsenal Target
Arsenal have set their sights on another attacking forward. Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud is in talks with Arsene Wenger, as he looks to ease the striking burden on Van Persie.

Scout, and former Arsenal player, Gilles Grimandi has been in France assesing the striker for over a month. It is understood that Giroud has a £12.8million release clause in his contract.
Sack Joey Barton
If it was up to me, Joey Barton would be fired. I would sack him for ‘Gross Misconduct’. In any other profession, assaulting people pretty much gives you the sack.
Barton has been handed a 12 game ban, missing a huge chunk of next season in the process. QPR, though, still have to pay his wages.
Fernandes won’t want that. It doesn’t make financial sense. Hughes won’t want that either after he nearly sent QPR packing last season all on his own. Sack him. He’ll have to go abroad then, no English club will sign a player with a 12 game ban looming over his head.
Holt Madness
I still can’t believe that Grant Holt wants to leave Norwich. All the talk in the press, about how good his performances were, has obviously gone to his head.

Holt was a journeyman before Norwich - flitting between lower league clubs. Now, he is an icon. What would happen if he moved to a new club? I doubt he’d be as revered there as he is at Carrow Road.
Fair play to Norwich, they are offering him an extra £5,000 a week but, if he wants to leave they should let him.
Taarabt to Wolfsburg?
German side Wolfsburg are keen on QPR midfielder, Adel Taarabt.

According to reports, a move was discussed in January when Taarabt was valued at £8million. It is thought now, with Taarabt only having a year left on his contract, that Wolfsburg could sign him for as little as £4.5million.
